OBJECTIVES OF ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT:
This phase is dedicated to the creation of a set of operative tools to be used by the science teachers to make effective use of ICT based teaching methods and materials through a fully Digital awareness. The Intellectual Output contents will be organized in 3 main areas: - Area 1: it will contain a set of competence assessment tools to be used by science teachers to identify the gaps of knowledge as far as Digital competences are concerned that prevent them in effectively use ICT based methods and teaching tools with their students. - Area 2: it will contain a selection of existing ICT learning objects for Science Teaching identified, analysed, classified and presented to the teachers by the higher education experts - Area 3: Collection of new learning objects created by the School teachers on their own, by reflecting on new ways of using ICT support and Learning Objects in their teaching practice.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT:
Liceo "Machiavelli" will develop the activities in order to the deadlines of the project. Teachers are collecting useful materials. They commented the Competence Assesment Tools: DigiCompuEdu, Digital Literacy Survey and Essential Computer Skiils and the ICT Learning Objects for Science Teaching: 99 Physics Animations, BrainPOP cast, Coding in STEM Education, EPA Educational Resources. Liceo "Machiavelli" identificated a new ICT and specified how to use it for a different mode for Science, reviewed and commented the new ICT tools located by project. Liceo "Machiavelli" provided the innovative use of ICT tools available. Two staff to take part in online training activity.
RESULTS ACHIEVED:
Liceo "Machiavelli" identified, reviewed and commented the Competence Assesment Tools, the ICT Learning Objects for Science Teaching, and identified new ICT tools and specifing how to use them. Teachers worked more days than originally planned so more tools and resources were developed and provided. Working relationships formed with Irish and Swedish counter parts, sharing of knowledge and information/discussion of project process and results. All the expected results of the project are satisfied.
