DESCRIPTION
SELFIE is a free, easy-to-use, customisable tool to help schools assess where they stand with learning in the digital age. With SELFIE, schools can take a snapshot of where they stand in their use of digital technologies, taking on board views of teachers
COMMENTS
A teacher, school leader or another staff member must register your school. Once your school coordinator has set up the SELFIE for your school, links are then sent to teachers, students and school leaders with the questions and statements to answer. SELFI
TEACHERS' COMMENT
Tested by two 7th–9th grade mathematics teachers, and a 4th–6th grade science and mathematics teacher.
The teachers were positive about the test in several aspects. They appreciate the test being anonymous and that the school receives a report about the results from the self assessment.. They also appreciate the possibility to take SELFIE in a variety of languages and that the teachers can design their own questions. The teachers found the test a valuable tool to estimate the digital competence of a teacher group and their professional development. The negative side of the test is that a coordinator has to register the school before it is possible for the teachers to try out the test or look at the questions.
