OBJECTIVES OF ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT:
Objectives of activities carried out: This phase is dedicated to the creation of a set of operative tools to be used by the science teachers to make effective use of ICT based teaching methods and materials through a fully Digital awareness. The Intellectual Output contents will be organized in 3 main areas: - Area 1: it will contain a set of competence assessment tools to be used by science teachers to identify the gaps of knowledge as far as Digital competences are concerned that prevent them in effectively use ICT based methods and teaching tools with their students. - Area 2: it will contain a selection of existing ICT learning objects for Science Teaching identified, analysed, classified and presented to the teachers by the higher education experts - Area 3: Collection of new learning objects created by the School teachers on their own, by reflecting on new ways of using ICT support and Learning Objects in their teaching practice.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT:
Discussing a new digital tool with school teachers. One new digital tool for new learning objects was created. Discussion of learning objects with school teachers. Meeting with school teachers from Ronna school for one day trying different learning objects and trying one new method for assessment of their digital competences. University teachers discussed for one day learning objects that will be used in the training activity. Creation of a new assessment tool about Content Creation, Developing digital content, Integrating and re-elaborating digital content, Copyright and licenses and Programming. Creation of Problem Solving with Solving technical problems, identifying needs and technological responses, Creatively using digital technologies and Identifying digital competence gaps in the new assessment tool. Meeting with school teachers to evaluate existing learning objects and assessment tools. Writing reports about school teachers’ evaluation after testing. The new learning objects that were created by the school teachers were discussed and reported. The other partners’ learning objects were tested and evaluated by the school teachers.
RESULTS ACHIEVED:
Creation of five competence assessment tools of the digital competence areas Content creation and Problem solving. Report on review of four existing competence assessment tools by Ronna school. Five new innovative learning objects was created and four existing learning objects in STEM were identified. Report about School teacher's evaluation of existing learning objects and new innovative learning objects created by the other partners.
